Genetics Can Be A Hairy Situation

My daughter inherited my hair. That means that every morning, it looks something like this (I should have taken pictures of the back for a more dramatic effect):

We tame it as best we can,

But we know that in about 45 minutes later, it'll be back to crazy-hair:

(yes. It's the same picture as #1, but if you know this gal, you know I'm not exaggerating)

What can I say? Except I'm sorry, Dear Girl. They called me Medusa when I was growing up. Perhaps if I'd learned how to do my own hair, I could work magic with the mousse and keep your head tight and tidy.

Maybe I secretly love it this way, because I choose to believe that it's an outward indication of our wild and free spirits within. ;)

Either way she's adorable, No?

I grew up with the same wild hair (still trying to tame it!) So I know how it feels! She looks beautiful and that picture is adorable!

yes, she is adorable! I'm afraid I've passed that same gene on to at least one of my kids (so far). Hopefully they will learn to embrace the curl and realize how many people would love to have it!
