It's my door. I paint it every year. My uncovered-south-facing porch does not provide a very supportive climate for any outdoor decorations. So I do this instead.
I had a friend back in junior high school who's mother painted their front window every Christmas. And she was AMAZING. I remember super detailed portraits of Santa and winter scenes...Thanks to those memories, my ideas always start lofty but after hours of trying to get it done, I'm happy to settle with average.
Past years have included:
~Skeletons dancing in the graveyard (I think I've done this twice)
~Jack-o-lanterns and bloody messages -
~I think I painted a witch once, a long time ago
~Oh, and ghosts, because they are easy to paint!
This is my favorite one yet (even though it didn't turn out exactly like I wanted it to).
It's fun and I like doing it.
