Sharing Laughter by Barbara Lavallee - find more of her artwork HERE
I would love
To hear you laugh again.
But this time,
I would like to hear it while my head lays pressed
Against your chest.
So that I can feel the rumbling beginnings
Of that deep and happy sound
(that I am so fond of)
Before it breaks free from you
And brightens the room.
I would be happy enough
To hear that jovial bellowing
From behind me,
Across the room
(in the usual way)
Yes - that would be enough.
More than enough.

bright happy art...lovely description! xox
This is beautiful! Melissa, you never cease to amaze me.
Love it :) It makes me happy!!
I really liked this one. Melissa, I was worried that I'd lost you as a reader by offending you! I'm counting on you to keep me in check. You are one of the only people I know who is faithful to the point of generating envy yet still remains down to earth (but not worldly, don't worry!) at the same time. I can handle "inappropriate and irreverent" but if it crosses into offensive please let me know. If I piss you off I'll know for sure that I already lost everybody else... except maybe Johnny.
