If I were to write something about myself, it would be this:
I feel lost, most of the time. What I mean is,
Wherever I am - I'm somewhere else.
I would really like to change this
Learn to be present - live "in the moment".
(Resolution?)
I would really like to write about it without sounding
Maudlin
or
Beatnick
Or something.
I can't think of the right word,
(ridiculous, maybe? or crazy...)
Because right now I should be folding laundry
and/or preparing a lesson.
You know?
(Stupid facebook.)

Your writing never comes across as maudlin to me.
that question always gets to me, too.
I fall victim to this all the time. I have a little saying that I mutter over and over when I catch myself "somewhere else." I say, "Be where your doing, be where your doing," over and over until I focus on the moment. It helps me, at least a little. :)
I get it.
I love you.
I like your writing, it is witty!
