"Guess Who"

I say to Jack.

"Me?" (no)
"Eddie?" (no)
"Uncle David? Uncle Ed?  GRANDPA JERRY?  Who is it!?"

 "It's your Dad."

(Now he brings his face a little closer to the image, inspecting, trying to see the Dad in that little boy's face).

"Ohhhhh, really?"

"Yup.  And you wore that very shirt when you were little."

"Wow." He says.


Wow is right.  Sam is 35 years old today.  I'm so lucky he was born!  Where would I be?  Oh, I shudder to think...

I would love to write some beautiful tribute to the birthday boy, but this tribute (click) is as good as it gets.
