So What Do You Do When...

You have to perform in front of a bunch of people and you're really nervous?

You play the song AS FAST AS YOU CAN so you can get it over with...

Who exactly was I racing?  Oh well :)  Sam likes to play fast anyway.

1. This was fun for me.
2. The audience was SUPER nice and friendly and smiley (that's always helpful).
3. I made lots of mistakes, and it was okay.  My goal was to have fun with Sam.  And I did!
4.  The video is helpful (thanks, Jerry, for recording it).  I can really see some things I need to work on.

My favorite compliment of the evening:

"You are as good as the 10th place American Idol last year!"

What a perfect duo you make!!! This was AMAZING! I'm curious what you were playing at?

Often when I perform (especially fiddling) I hear myself playing a normal speed in my head, but when I watch a recording, I find out that I was going supersonic speed. It is so odd!
