It Was Only Three Days, but We Used Every Bit of Each One

I visited my parents (Dad and Step-mom) for a few days last week.  It was so nice to see them and spend time with them.  They are always so fun and cute with my kids.  They just played and played with them.  We crammed a lot of activity in just a couple of days;

-Hot tub
-swimming pool

{Milo and Mama}

-tennis
-BB guns

-Basketball

-Nee-Nee rides*  (My dad taught all the kids how to drive and steer the 4 wheelers by themselves.  He is a brave man.)

{My dad and Ada}

My brother Jonny came up with his hottie wife and adorable daughters.  Such a sweet and darling family.

{Grandpa painting fingernails for the first time in his life.  But how could he say "no" to that face?}

 Jonny and I are training for a triathlon at the end of August.  It's going to take place at Bear Lake, so we decided to do some training here and get a look at the course.  The idea was to ease my mind a little.  It did not ease my mind so much...but

I have super whispies.  Not even a bike helmet can keep them down
We biked around the lake.  It was a gorgeous morning.  We were happy with our time and thanks to the rough roads, we both got a chance to learn how to change the tires/tubes on our bikes.  At first we just tried the "fill up the tires every 5 minutes until you get home method" which was barrels of fun (not).   This is why I have chain grease all over my face.   Attractive, I know.

I am amazed everytime I come up here at the view.  Every morning, every evening, no matter the season - it's gorgeous.

I can't wait to see them again.  My parents are laid back and fun to be around.  I miss them already!

*the word "Nee-Nee" was adopted in our family, when one of the grandchildren referred to the ATVs as such...

{blurry picture of my parents setting the example for their grandchildren.  I have been wondering where Jack gets his penchant for doing the "bunny ears" every time a camera is present ---until now}
