And Now For Something Really Good...

{day 28 - Happy Birthday Ali and Carter!!!}

...as in, actual poetry.

Today I produce a poem which is not my own.  It is Sam's (my husband).

Technically this counts as part of my 30 day challenge because I am his muse (wink, wink) and so, in a way, this writing is inspired by me and therefore comes from me.

Ha!  Okay, Okay, the poem;

***

I rest beneath both feather and wing
yet glimpse the ground below.
The sky above, I fly between-
both stars and fallow soil.

My muse in sight!  Two doves did light-
three arm-lengths yon to feed.
To these I offer that which I write-
yet come they have for seed!

~Sam Carter

***

Sam has a beautiful gift for words, for which I know I cannot seriously take any credit.  I admit I am extremely jealous of his abilities and feel pretty dumb doing these 30 days of "poetry" when I read stuff like this.  But alas, I will not be shut up.
