- I am naive when it comes to making goals. As I dig my way through these little projects I'm realizing, that many of them are a LOT bigger and more time consuming than they initially appeared.
- I'm not the superwoman I'd like to be. I used to clean like a banshee (if those death spirits clean...I guess not...) but I used to be like a wild, crazy, focused hustler when it was project time. Not so much anymore. I don't feel rushed even when company is coming over- I just take my time, listening to my ipod, and dance around a lot. I've lost my drive.
- Plus, this computer is a bit of a distraction. I never spend a lengthy amount of time in a single sitting, but I make frequent stops to the mac to "check in"...it breaks up my focus.
- And out of desperation to play something, I recalled that my mother gifted our family with a Ukulele some years ago. So, thanks to YouTube and said Ukulele, I spent an evening learning "White Sandy Beaches" (sweet song) and "Hey There Delilah"(not so trendy when you Uke it?) last night. I've learned that I love the Ukulele. It instantly makes you feel mellow. Even though I struggled, it was fun and I felt like I was on a tropical island. But I wasn't. I was in a basement full of yet to be be finished projects...
- FINALLY, THE BIG BONUS: Among what I have accomplished so far, are three projects that I have been putting off for MONTHS. Ahhhh, now that feels good. And I would have ignored it even longer if I didn't have this Blog to keep me accountable. Oh, the power of the Blog. Who knew?

"If you like a ukulele lady, ukulele lady lika youuuuu".
I don't know where that little song is from, but I like it.
I'm impressed that you try new things. My dad took on the ukulele later in life, he said because it only had four strings and would be easier to play. I have fond memories of ukulele music.
you have an unlimited reservoir of talent. i stand in awe.
Okay you'd better bring that Ukelele to Christmas Eve or Christmas Eve Eve and play us these songs! Cool!
You know, she found a trombone digging in the back yard a few weeks ago. She's hot on this too, but she's been keeping it quiet.
Did she tell you I'm getting tater tot drums for Christmas. Trombone, drums, mandoline, violin and guitars--you guys should be able to keep your neighbors hoppin!
