Why having kids helps you become a morning person...and other benefits;

We are currently reading "A Wrinkle in Time" as we settle into our beds at night. Sometimes the kids pile on my bed and we read for a while, but last night, they all climbed into the bunk bed in the boys' room and I sat on the floor as I read. The twins fell asleep quickly, so I climbed on the top bunk with Ed, and we just sat together as I read for a while. It was nice, because he's the oldest and somehow I don't get much one on one time with him. Eddie is really enjoying the book (and so am I). The first chapter book I read with Eddie was "Charlotte's Web". He was four. Even then, he was a fun to read to; he would sit and listen and ask great questions.

This morning Eddie asked me to make eggs on toast for breakfast (one of his favorites). He said, "Mom, make my eggs nice and easy." (Instead of "over easy".)
I love my life.
