It's true. I also resisted reading, "Goodnight Moon" to my kids. Why? Because everybody LOVED it. I don't know why I do this. It started back when I was young.
Confession 2. Yesterday I saw a girl walking her dog. She was long and lean and stacked. I mean, unbelievably gorgeous. And I really wished I could know what that felt like, just for a day.
Confession 3. I was wishing this while walking into the bakery, where I then purchased 4 macaroons, 5 cream puffs and a strawberry filled croissant.
Confession 4. Once (a long time ago) I told Sam that I believed everyone had the hots for me. I emphasized 'Everyone'. I think I may have said it to other people that day, too. I was feeling silly and happy but I also think I really believed it at the time. I feel really dumb about it now and Sam will not let me ever forget I said it. I get teased regulary.
Huh. I think maybe #4 was sort of my chance of having #2.
So that's it. I am a vain, ridiculous girl (lady) who refuses to read certain childrens' books simply because the masses praise them.
I am sooooo going to regret posting this.
Goodnight.

Melissa I do the exact same things with books and movies. Not kids books yet, but I know I totally will once he is born. I haven't seen or read any Harry Potter, DaVinci Code, Lord of the Rings, etc because everyone told me I HAD to. It still drives people crazy! Plus yum on the treats, I wish I still had a good bakery by me here in Wyoming!
thanks for a good chuckle today! i love you. xox
You are the best!
BahMahahahaha!!
You are so funny! I love it--and, you are amazingly beautiful so I do think every guy must have the hots for you! P.S. Most long, lean, "stacked" girls had to buy their features anyway. :)
I did the same thing with "Goodnight Moon", too. Until I got 2 of them as baby gifts. Then I had to give in. I don't see what all the fuss was about...
