What I Learned in 30 Days

of Photography:

- There is more to my point and shoot, then point and shoot.  I learned some great tricks.
- If I don't set a goal, or make a conscious decision to take pictures, I take NO pictures!
-There is so much to learn about lighting, how a camera works, what makes a good photo  (photo editing can only do so much).
-It's a fun way to capture your life, but in a way, it makes you detached from it, too.  There needs to be a balance.
-I enjoyed the process

of Poetry:

- I have to be in the mood.
- I'm usually only in the mood when I'm sad
- I think I should still try and write something everday.
- But I think, maybe I should spend several days on something, instead of coming up with short burst of "whatever" each day.
- I should never EVER again write a poem about writing poems.  Why do I do this? (I know why.  It's because I'm so insecure).
- I need to read more poetry.  I love it.
-This sparked my desire to play guitar again, sing again.  It's time to get back on that horse.  It does make me happy.  (Maybe November's 30 day challenge?)

I think I will continue to do 30 day challenges in those 30 day months (and maybe February, too, just for kicks).  I like doing it, even if I'm not sure it does me much good (when it comes to bonafide development and growth).

It is fulfilling in a way.
So, yeah.
