11.11.11

Young Women - the girls, the leaders, the program.  It is so much fun to be a part of and has really blessed my life.

Coming home thinking about the messy kitchen I'm about to walk into - and when I open the door?  My oldest boy is just finishing up the dishes (having already made and cleaned up lunch for the other kids).  No one asked him to do it, blessed boy!  Made my day.

Celebrating a beautiful life that ended too soon.  A woman who lives a simple, good life makes a very big difference.   Dear Faye has taught me a few lessons about how to make a life sweet and meaningful.  I am sad for my friend who had to say goodbye to her mother, but I am grateful for her friendship and example.  Her words were a sweet expression of the ultimate joy that comes from a mother/daughter relationship.

Grateful for those who serve my country.  As someone stated, "they write the ultimate blank check".  What a service, what a sacrifice!

Ice water.  Have I already said that one?

These are long and there is so much more to be thankful for, but I need to get off this chair  :)
