Ask For Steve (or Stephen)

...at the Verizon store on Fort Union blvd.

Why?  Because he's a super nice, friendly, go-above-and-beyond kind of guy.

That's why.

Remember when I mentioned that my new iphone was stolen?  Well...

Someone (the dirty rotten thief?  Or maybe his/her mother?) dumped my phone at a Verizon store.  It was unusable because of too many attempts to figure out the access code.

  • So there it sat in the back room of the store, for a few weeks, waiting for someone to come claim it.
  • But Steve got sick of looking at the thing and thought to himself;  somebody wants this phone back...  It was probably stolen.  And so he took it home.
  • He plugged it in.
  • He hacked into it which erased everything on my phone, except the serial number.
  • Then he looked up the serial number, just to see if this phone was attached to a verizon account.  (It was!)
  • And then he called me.  A good six weeks after my purse was stolen, I'd gotten my phone back!

Let's here it for Steve!!!  Woot!

OH BABY!

MILO BRYNLEE MECHAM

Isn't she beautiful? I keep referring to her as unbelievably beautiful, but that is inaccurate. She looks just like her handsome parents...such beauty should be expected!

Oh, I just love her.
I held her for over and hour today. It was pure bliss.

She is going to have to put up with extra holding to make up for the NOT holding of Samuel and Caleb... (the other amazingly adorable new arrivals in my family, who live too far away to squeeze).

Happy Day!

We LOVE Babies! HOORAY, he's here!

He's Here! (Much to Katie's relief I'm sure)!

SAMUEL GERALD NYDEGGER
my newest nephew was born yesterday, in the morning.

THE CUTEST BABY CHICAGO EVER LAID EYES ON.
I understand that families grow up and spread out, but this is killing me. I am DYING to hold that sweet little babe!

Apparently Mama is doing quite well and we are so glad.
(I quite like the name they've chosen.)

  • Mecham Lips? (check. It's not just a dominant feature, it's a dominant gene.)
  • Mom & Pop relieved, elated, exhausted? (super check.)
  • Big Brother (Elijah) approved? (still waiting on that one.)

I wish I wish I wish I could be there!

Victory! A Brag Blog...

My brother Jon ran the Ogden marathon a few days ago.  His first. How awesome am I for having such a cool brother :).

He wrote an entry on his blog about it. He is downright hilarious and I think you might enjoy it.

Before you begin there are a few things you should know;

1. He sprained his ankle pretty seriously a couple of months ago. Here is a picture:

He failed to mention this in his entry. I'm bringing it up, because apparently he wasn't happy with his time. (um, hellooooo ˆ...)

2. His name is JON. This is relevant in the blog entry.

Here it is: Jonny's Marathon Adventure Enjoy!

OH...MY....GRANNY!!!

!!!!IWONIWONIWONIWONIWON!!!!
(hooray!)

What did I win? Only this fabulous, gorgeous, cozy, no doubt incredibly time consuming
Granny Square Afghan (the capitalization is intentional, thankyouverymuch).

(is this not so lovely?)

I know you are drooling.
I know how long these things take.
I've tried (to make them myself), and they don't EVER come out looking like this.
And now I have one of my very own. Made by someone with love. Someone I don't even know.

You may want to check the blog where I won this beautiful blanket: She sells these you know:

And how is it that I am so clever?
Unfortunately, it was just luck...
I commented on some of the Bloggy giveaways from the carnival last week.

And I WON!!! I am so stinking thrilled I can hardly stand it :)
